Changing perceptions of physical activity through the inspiration of the Olympic and Paralympic Movements

As the official youth engagement programme of Team GB and ParalympicsGB, Get Set uses its exclusive access to Olympic and Paralympic assets, athletes and sponsors to translate international success into values-led inspirational educational opportunities. It inspires young people, their families and communities to embrace healthy, active lifestyles by improving their understanding of the benefits of physical activity, developing their physical literacy and supporting them to build and sustain a habit of regular activity.

EVERFI has delivered Get Set since 2013, creating and implementing a strategic vision that is underpinned by Team GB and ParalympicsGB’s objectives and continually adapted to reflect the latest policy developments. We have worked closely with teachers, pupils, and expert representatives from the British Olympics Association and British Paralympic Association to ensure our produced resources are accurate and fit for purpose. Our highly collaborative approach has facilitated a range of partnerships, including with National Governing Bodies, UK Anti-Doping, Sport England, Department for Education and with commercial sponsors such as Aldi. Whether we are engaging teenagers in making healthy choices, or using behaviour change to nudge less-active families to take up physical activity, we creatively reimagine the power of the Olympic and Paralympic Movements to motivate a range of audiences.

Having celebrated its tenth birthday in 2018, Get Set has already inspired a generation. We’re proud to deliver this sector-leading initiative as it continues to inspire young people to be physically active.
